Nisyros is a traditional Greek island with many occupiers including Turks, Italians and English. Each occupier has left a little of their culture on the island.
Over the last decade Nisyros has become the home of many varied European people interested in modern visual and performing arts. Atmospheric exhibitions, a volcanic experimental music festival and film events in amazing settings are just some of the events recent visitors to Nisyros have experienced.
But these events can never compete with the exuberant Panayiri that move among the churches and monasteries on warm summer nights.

“The Best of Nisyros” has tried to present its properties with respect for the island’s amazing history while featuring the islands new focus on modern art, film and performance.

On our site you will find five properties. Each offering a different type of stay, but each being presented with the same high standards as each other.

As the properties are of similar high standard and are all placed in and around Mandraki and all walking distance to each other, it is possible to combine bookings so larger groups can be accommodated.
